When Brigham and Kaitlin began planning their big day, they knew they wanted a space that felt both warm and timeless. Kaitlin described the inspo for the wedding to be vintage, simple, and classic. Freddy’s on Main, a brick loft wedding venue in Southern Alberta, along with the elements they brought in, gave them exactly that — historic character, vintage charm, and the perfect backdrop for their celebration.
Brigham and Kaitlin’s story began in the simplest way — over tacos and kite flying. What started as a spontaneous first date grew into a friendship and partnership built on doing everything together. Today, they live in Utah with their son Wesley, where Brigham is attending dental school and Kaitlin enjoys time at home with their little one.
Their wedding day reflected their love story perfectly: simple, classic, and full of joy.

Though November can bring a chill to Southern Alberta, Kaitlin and Brigham’s wedding day was nothing short of magical. With family and friends surrounding them, the celebration was lively, heartfelt, and emotional — truly a day filled with love and laughter.

The reception space reflected the couple’s rustic vintage wedding style. They chose a sweetheart table with ornate antique chairs from Kaitlin’s grandparents’ home — the very chairs they sat in during countless family dinners. It was a sentimental touch that made the space deeply personal.
As well, the dreamy floating backdrop from Prairie Mountain Events — with draping chiffon and hanging lanterns, was the perfect romantic focal point.

Tables for guests were styled with white cloths, greenery, and tall white candlesticks. Industrial string lights overhead and a cream macramé between the historic loft windows created a soft, inviting atmosphere.

The evening’s program included heartfelt speeches and moving musical numbers from family members. One of the most unforgettable moments was when Brigham surprised Kaitlin by singing to her in front of all their loved ones — a memory that will forever stand out in their story.

From the moment guests entered, every detail carried meaning. A welcoming arrangement of greenery, wheat, and rustic furniture set the tone. Antique dressers, wicker chairs, and framed engagement photos brought a personal, homey feel to the historic loft.

The drink station was another favorite touch — a vintage credenza displayed flavors for custom dirty sodas, accented with flowers and framed photos.

Even the wedding cake had a unique presentation, displayed on a hanging macramé stand — a sweet and simple detail that tied in beautifully with the rustic, vintage theme.

Looking back, Kaitlin says she couldn’t imagine their reception anywhere else. The rustic vintage atmosphere of Freddy’s on Main, with its exposed brick walls, antique touches, and historic charm, was the perfect setting for their classic November wedding.
